brides mother in law wears wedding dress to wedding

A WOMAN shared a wedding photo online but has left people asking questions when the family picture included someone else wearing a wedding dress - as well as the bride.

In the photo, which was taken at a wedding ceremony, the unknown bride and groom were perched in the middle with the groom's entire family standing on either side of them.

But the seemingly normal family photo revealed the groom's mother wearing an extravagant wedding dress which left people wondering who the actual bride was.

The photo was posted to a Facebook group titled That's It, I'm wedding shaming by a member of the group, but the original photo was posted by the bride, alongside a hilarious caption.

She wrote: "This photo features me and my husband's entire family. Can you guess which one is the bride? It's like 'where's Waldo' of brides - Yes, my mother-in-law wore a wedding dress to my wedding. #weddingfail #weddingfails"

The post in the group as since racked up hundreds of likes and comments questioning who of the two women is the bride, claiming it's "weird" and "not okay" that ANYONE would wear a white dress to a wedding, but especially the mother-in-law.

One person wrote: " This is maybe the first time I've seen a case of a guest wearing a white dress that ACTUALLY is indistinguishable from the bride."

And another wrote: "I thought it was a double wedding."

The woman in question is standing to the left of the groom - her son, while the bride is standing facing the groom and holding a bouquet.

At first glance, the two dresses look almost identical so it's no wonder there's some confusion about what is ACTUALLY going on in the photo.

Many said it was the bride holding the flowers that gave it away, since brides generally carry a bouquet of flowers -  but if not for the bouquet they still would have been trying to work out whose big day it was.

One person wrote: "Only the flowers give it away"

And a second agreed, saying: " I thought the one in front was the bride til I saw the one in back with the flowers"

Meanwhile, in more crazy wedding news,  this guest pictured wearing a wedding dress to someone else's big day - but people can't decide if it's fake.

And, this bride and groom were left baffled when wedding snapper Photoshops JESUS into their pic.
